Growing curls is difficult enough; throw Split ends into the mix, and your dreams of long curls seem further from reality. Spilt ends cause breakage and frizz, making it harder to get your hair to your desired length.
Dryness, harsh ingredients, aggressive detangling, and excessive heat can contribute to split ends and retaining length.
Here are three products you can add to your routine to help prevent this.
SULPHATE FREE SHAMPOO
This will help maintain your natural oils and retain moisture levels. A non-sulphate-free shampoo can strip these oils, which can lead to dullness, brittle and weakened hair.
MICROFIBER HAIR TOWEL
The texture of a traditional towel can create friction, frizz and can cause breakage on weak or damaged hair. You can avoid this by using a microfiber towel, as its smooth surface avoids disrupting the cuticles and is much more gentle on your curls.
NOURISHING OIL
Regularly using oil once your hair is dried can help strengthen and bond damaged hair cuticles. It will also help protect against external factors such as harsh weather, pollution, and UV rays, preventing further damage.
